Supporting local additional needs children through funding for equipment and essential resources
Our Mission
The Starburst Foundation Applications Division is run entirely by local volunteers. We are passionate about assisting local children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions, to help them realise their full potential.
We assist children up to and including, the age of 18 years old by funding items of equipment. These can help improve quality of life, build self-esteem, improve confidence or assist with independence.
We raise funds to support Applications in a variety of ways. For example our Annual Black-Tie Charity Ball, profits from front of house sales during Starburst Theatre performances, other events like Barn Dances and Quiz Nights and of course receipt of other generous donations from the local community.

Who Can Apply
Our funding is available to families with additional needs children in our local community. We consider applications where:
- ✓The child has a diagnosed special need or disability
- ✓The family resides in our local catchment area
- ✓The equipment or resource will significantly improve the child's quality of life
- ✓Funding is not available from statutory sources or other organizations
- ✓The family demonstrates financial need
Each application is considered individually, and we work closely with families to understand their unique circumstances and needs.
