Casual users hire a room for one-off bookings. Regular users are ongoing hirers, such as weekly classes. The two are charged different rates, pay on different schedules, and regular users have a few extra requirements (see below).

Regular hirers need to supply a Certificate of Insurance covering Public Liability and up-to-date PAT certificates, and must confirm that appropriate DBS checks have been carried out if they are working with people under 16.

Yes for children's parties. Our studios are not available for young adult (16 to 30) birthday parties or any unsupervised discos.

Kids' party hire

Yes. Hirers place a deposit, which is refunded when your booking ends provided any outstanding invoices are paid and there is no damage to the building, its fixtures and fittings. The cost of any extra cleaning or damage can be added to your invoice or deducted from the deposit.

Invoices are sent in advance. Casual users pay 14 days before their event. Regular users are invoiced monthly and pay within 14 days of receiving the invoice. Failing to settle an account as stated on the invoice may result in cancellation of all bookings and exclusion from future use.

By card, online or in person, via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay and instant bank transfer are accepted), or by bank transfer to Starburst Property using your invoice number as the reference. Bank account details are available on request.

Any cancellation or amendment must be notified to us in writing or by email at least 7 days beforehand. If you cancel inside that period you will still be required to pay for the hire.

Charges may be reviewed at any time, and hirers will be given at least one month’s notice of any change.

Hire is for the specific times shown on your booking confirmation and does not allow entry to the premises at any other time, so please include enough time in your booking for setting up and clearing away.

Alcohol sales may only be undertaken by Starburst Studios, who will supply and run a paid bar on request. Only alcohol purchased and managed by Starburst Studios can be sold at the event, and we may ask for age ID or refuse a sale where we think it inappropriate.

Only with prior written permission from Starburst Studios. Bouncy castles must be used with an appropriate floor protection sheet to prevent damage to the specialist dance floor. Please confirm the size of your bouncy castle when you enquire.

Kids' party hire

Sub-letting, using the premises for anything other than the agreed purpose, smoking (including e-cigarettes) in or around the buildings, and barbecues, professional discotheque smoke machines and fireworks are not permitted. Starburst Property may also refuse hire to particular individuals, organisations or functions.

Any electrical equipment you bring must be safe, in good working order and recently PAT tested. Hirers are responsible for fire safety during their hire: the named hirer must familiarise themselves with the fire exits and keep access to them clear at all times. Fire exit information is sent in your confirmation email.

Yes. The Village Hall has a 1.8-metre height barrier at the entrance. Please contact us in advance if you need to arrange entry for a taller vehicle.

Any items left or stored in the halls are left at the owner’s own risk, and Starburst Property does not accept responsibility for them.

Please leave the room clean and tidy, take your rubbish with you, and wash up and put away any mugs or plates you have used. Dustpans, brushes and brooms are available in the halls; any other cleaning equipment needs to be brought with you.

Failure to comply could result in the cancellation of your booking, potentially without return of your deposit.
